In reply to Pauline Moonsamy. Hi. To get to the gate you won't have to climb many stairs. However, if you want to visit the other temples, you'll have to climb a bit. It all depends on you. Enjoy Bali!

Hello,
I’ll be going with my parents (they’re in their 70s) and hubby.
You say that there’s isn’t a need to walk the 1700 stairs, I”m worried my mom won’t manage that.
I’m not too fussed over the photo op but being a Hindu would love to visit the temples.

I’d second one of the other comments above. My girlfriend and I visited today arriving at 6:25am and were number 64 in the queue! We waited around an hour or so. We returned later in the morning and from the number of people the wait looked to be 3 hours or more. The Instagram effect is still taking hold!

In reply to Stephanie Wong. You can go anytime you want but to skip the crowds, you'd better be there early in the morning. Usually, there is a guy who takes the mirror photos. If he's not there, you can try to use your phone screen as a mirror and take the photo with another phone. Have fun!

So if we were to go in the evening, it is still fine right? I do not know how to take the photo with the mirror, will the person be there whole day so that I can just pay and ask him to take for me?

In reply to Wilsinee. Yes, there is a guy who has a mirror and takes pictures for you. Of course, if you want to take your own photos, you are more than welcome. :)
