There are 3 separate waterfalls pouring into the Yellow River. The first one is the result of the Yellow River narrowing from 300 metres and falling into a gorge about 50 metres wide. The second and third falls are tributaries of the Yellow River, which is very turbulent as it flows through the gorge. This is the nearest anyone can get to such large waterfalls.
